The iPod Hi-Fi is an all-in-one speaker system designed for use with iPods. It competed against an already populated market of other all-in-one iPod speakers (Ex: Bose’s SoundDock, Altec Lansing inMotion iM7,JBL On Time). It received mixed reviews, and was discontinued after only 1 year on the market.

Features

The iPod Hi-Fi could be powered off a standard wall outlet or 6 D-cell batteries. It has a built in power supply, so no power brick is needed. You can detach the front grille, and also has a remote (which is the same remote found in the 1st model of the Apple Universal Dock). There is also an audio in jack located next to the power cord plug. When inserted into the iPod Hi-Fi, iPods will automatically display full screen album art.

iPod Hi-Fi is compatible with Universal Dock dock adapters, which can be used to more securely insert other generations of iPod into the speaker.
