The iPod nano is a series of small, flash-based digital audio and media players sold by Apple between 2005 and 2017. Earlier iPod nano models sold between 2005 and 2010 featured the Click Wheel, but latter ones used a capacitive touchscreen display instead.

The iPod nano was first introduced to replace the (much thicker) iPod mini. However, ironically enough, the iPod mini has much more longevity value nowadays, owing to it being modifiable to fit large-size SD cards.

Seven generations of iPod nano, each with a substantial redesign, were sold throughout the years. For more information on each iPod nano, see its respective page in the table below.

† The 4 GB iPod nano (4th generation) was only sold in limited quantities abroad. The $119 price is a prediction based on exchange rates. This model still remains elusive up to this day.

‡ Discontinued September 2013.
