The iPod Nano 3rd Generation was the first Nano break away from the Candy Bar form factor. This Nano instead shared more in common with the Classic lineup, being dubbed the "fat nano" for its shape. No other Nano shared the same form factor as the 3rd Gen Nano. This generation of Nano was the first to have officially supported video playback. It also shared the same UI as the Classic 6/7G. It offered the same features, like Coverflow, Video Playback, Clickwheel Games, etc. It was discontinued on September 9, 2008.
